All dogs listed for adoption have received a full vet exam including spay or neuter, dental cleaning, all vaccinations and shots required by Texas law, heartworm test, and any medical treatment needed to assure the dog's health and well being.  They are socialized and assessed for temperament and behavior issues.

BAILEY - SCOTTISH TERRIER

Scottish Terrier  ~  Female  ~  Brindle Coat  ~  9 Years Old  ~  Affectionate & Playful Personality Good with older children (ages 12 and up)  ~  Dog Aggressive/NO CATS  ~  Owner Release  BAILEY PREFERS TO BE AN ONLY PET

Bailey is a spirited and affectionate little scottie girl with a big personality! Bailey tells it like it is, voices her opinion to all who will listen, expects everyone to get out of her way, and it goes w/o saying that everything belongs to her! Bailey likes to go for walks and car rides, is house trained and crate trained, and she sits up pretty for treats and give kisses. This little girl is a real sweetheart! Special Needs: Bailey is an alpha scottie who likes to be the center of attention and does not play well w/ other pets.  She has a long history of fighting with another scottie at her previous home and will need a family where she will be the only pet.  Bailey is not people or food aggressive, but has no interest in playing or sharing with other pets.  Bailey also has a high prey drive and does NOT like cats. Bailey will be available for adoption after 7/20/06. UPDATE for 2/2007: Bailey has been adopted!

Bailey's vet care provided by Carrollton Animal Hospital.

Bailey has a few battle scars on her neck, head and shoulders from fighting w/ another scottie at her previous home.  Her wounds have healed and after her coat fills in you won't be able to see the scars at all.
